Security and privacy
Your e-labels sit on the labels of your bottles, often for years. So we are open about where the data lives and who has access.
Hosted in Frankfurt
App and database run on servers in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. The connection between browser and server is encrypted with TLS throughout, including when an e-label is opened via the QR code.
Access to your account
Passwords are stored as hashes only. Every account can be protected with two-factor authentication via an authenticator app, including recovery codes. Only you have access to your brands and e-labels.
Payment via Stripe
Payments run through Stripe. Card data never reaches our servers; we only store which plan you have booked. Invoices and payment method are managed in the Stripe customer portal.
What is stored about wine buyers
Nothing personal. When a QR code is scanned, Wein QR counts the view and the country, without cookies, without advertising and without profiles. The e-label shows only the mandatory information.
Service providers
We use a few named providers: Stripe for payments, Resend for the app’s e-mails and the website’s contact form, Bugsnag for error reports of the app, Cloudflare Turnstile against automated requests in the contact form, Cookiebot for consent. Details are in the privacy policy.
Deletion and data export
You delete your account yourself in the settings. Running subscriptions are ended and all data including images is removed. For an export of your data or questions about security, write to office@wein-qr.at.
